Learn about sailing and the rules of the road. Sail 2 full days. The course gives hands on experience that prepares you to take the on-line course/test with CA boating and waterways to obtain your CA Boater's License. The on-line course alone can otherwise be confusing. The Afterguard test score of 50 questions at the end of your class determines if you've rated crew 80-89 or first mate 90-100 for sailing education. The book used is Sailing Made Easy by ASA. Can be purchsed as an ibook from the ASA website.
