ASA 101-103 Basics to Bay Week

Combination course week of ASA 101-103. Great for those who have had some sailing experience. A bit overwhelming if have not been on boats before. The first 2 days focus is the 101 course - boat parts, language, how a boat sails, wind sense, key safety maneuvers and how to work together. The 3rd day begins the 103 course with system reviews on larger boats then proceeds with the 103 curriculum. Friday sailing is from our satellite base at Treasure Island to maximize your time on SF Bay Central.

Most find this week changes the way they walk, talk and sail.  It is a great place to learn sailing.

Can be a live-aboard week if so choose. If coming in from afar - Afterguard's home port is neighbor to: Motel 6, Executive Inn and Suites, Best Western and Hilton Homewood Suites. Treasure Island does not have hotels but the instructor's car will be going from our home port to TI at 9am the last two days and returning to home port each night.

Bring a camera or phone that takes good images. While sailing there are many stunning and iconic sights all around San Francisco Bay.

This transformational week of 'sailing immersion' is initially tiring. Please keep the social calendar thin through Wednesday, at least. Once passed 103, can go explore SF Bay by renting a boat independently at member prices for your first boat rental.
