Event Information

Description

Teachers and Students confirmed for health and availability  Mon, 03/16, 4pm - keep in touch for updates

Jim will be teaching the first weekend,

Kevin wil be teaching the Friday night lecture on the second weekend.

Multi-Day course = PM lecture starts the course , followed by full days of hand-on sail training. An evening Navigation intro-lab kicks off the next 2 days, which include a 'zero visibility' sailing exercise to the Central San Francisco Bay. Very comprehensive course for new SF Bay Skippers, that can fill a surprising number of gaps commonly hidden for the self-taught sailor. Passing the written 100 question ASA certification test and sailing skills exercises earn the ASA 103 Certification.  Holder of the 103 certification is qualified to sail up to 30' boats in semi-protected waters, (SF Bay) on all but extreme weather (e.g. the Slot area of the Central Bay between 1-3pm), accepted world-wide.

The first charter after the course is at member rates, if non-member.

Can participate in 1 Wednesday night sail at no cost, between the course weekends or afterwards.
